With the abrupt move from an offline to an online manner of working, cybersecurity has become a need rather than a choice. With India being one of the top ten countries targeted by hackers, cybersecurity knowledge has never been more important.
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the CyberPeace Foundation (CPF), have launched a project to train students and educators in Cybersecurity in its affiliated colleges, in order to address the shortage of professionals in the field. "In today’s digitalised world, data has become the new oil, and data protection has never been more important. The youth must be trained on how to make the system more strong and prevent intruders from entering.
For this purpose a project named eSaksham has been launched that aims to focus on developing skills in the Cybersecurity domain.
