IGNOU has launched new courses on environmental and occupational health.
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has launched environmental and occupational health postgraduate and diploma programmes. Open and Distance Learning (ODL) will be used for the Master’s programme, while the PG diploma will be offered totally online.
On January 13, the programmes were launched in the presence of Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais. The programmes will be coordinated by B Rupini, Sushmitha Baskar, and Ruchika Kuba from IGNOU’s School of Interdisciplinary and Transdisciplinary Studies and School of Health Sciences, according to the official release.
The programme will focus on imparting theoretical knowledge and transferable skills to the general population, particularly industrial workers.
