About ATL
The Atal Innovation Mission is creating Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATLs) in schools across India with the goal of “cultivating one million children in India as Neoteric Innovators.”
The goal of this programme is to encourage young minds to be curious, creative, and imaginative, as well as to instil abilities like design mentality, computational thinking, adaptive learning, and physical computing.
ATL is a place where young minds may put their ideas into action in a hands-on, do-it-yourself environment while also learning how to innovate.
Young children will get the opportunity to work with tools and equipment in order to grasp STEM concepts (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).
ATL would include instructional and learning ‘do it yourself’ kits and equipment in the areas of science, electronics, robotics, open-source microcontroller boards, sensors, 3D printers, and computers.
Meeting rooms and a video conferencing facility are also useful features.
