Railway Jobs are aspired by lakhs of candidates throughout the country as it offers a good pay scale and perks. We can get posted as a commercial apprentice & station master by sitting for the RRB NTPC examination conducted by the Railway Recruitment Board.
In my personal observation during travels and visits of railway stations I can say commercial apprentice is better profile than Station Master.
Because commercial apprentice act as a Supervisor in Commercial departments.
They are posted as Commercial Inspectors, Goods Supervisor, Parcel Supervisor, Rates and Claims Inspector in Railways. These kinds of opportunities gives us to do work in various fields.
where Station Master is in charge of running trains at a station. Station Master operates the signals and makes sure that everything goes as per the rules. Station Master has to work in shifts & and he have to very attentive all time.
These differences of work profile , responsibilities , work time make CA better than station master but someone can choose freely these post according to one’s comfort.
