I think a much needed step that has been taken is I will be talking in this topic. Basically SSPCA Scheme’s goal is to provide travel support and registration expenses to a team of at least two to ten students for a worldwide competition in order to inspire engineering students to progress in their field of technical education. I have seen students getting demoralized because of the lack of simply this. I have had classmates that were quite interested in what this scheme support, but they could not because it lacked at that time.
This is what I get as to How to Apply for Financial support:
a) The application must be submitted to the AICTE in New Delhi. The required attachments, such as an acceptance letter from the competition organizers and the full specifications of the competition to be presented, must be provided at least 2 months prior to the start of the event. The AICTE would be helping ahead.
b) I saw an unexpected norm that a proposal that has been submitted does not mean that it has been approved by the AICTE. If there are two or more applications for the same competition, only 1 is gonna be evaluated, and the 1st will receive priority.
The initiative will provide qualifying students with a package of Rs. 1.00 lakh in aid, inclusive of all relevant expenses, without setting any restrictions on the head of expenditure.
It going to be interesting to see how students are gonna make use of it.
