For the 2022 academic year, the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced three new programmes. The School of Agriculture at IGNOU has introduced a master’s degree programme, a postgraduate diploma programme, and a diploma programme, namely M.Sc in Food Safety and Quality Management, Post Graduate Diploma in Agribusiness (PGDAB), and Diploma in Horticulture (DHORT).
This, in my opinion, will provide students with additional options to pursue careers in agriculture, which will benefit not only the students but also the country’s farmers.
I’m looking forward to hearing diverse perspectives from our educational institutions on a new agricultural approach.
