The Government of Punjab will offer free education to students in public schools and colleges and offer scholarships to youth seeking to study abroad, said Chief Minister and Congress President for the upcoming elections, Charanjit Singh Channi. The promises were made on the eve of the assembly elections. The vote in Punjab is scheduled for 20 February.
He previously announced that if the Congress returns to power, within a year it will offer one million jobs and launch a program to help Punjabi youth go abroad. He promised free IELTS training.
