UP Govt has come up with a new scheme, I saw in he news recently. This is a widespread problem that the state govt recognizes. To address the problem of illiteracy in the state, the Uttar Pradesh govt has established a new initiative. All students will receive free education up to the 12th grade under this new programme. I’m feeling good for students who’ll be benefitted.
As I read, children from economically weaker families will receive free and compulsory education under the scheme. Parents will be encouraged to send their children to school rather than engage them in child labour under the scheme. The state of Uttar Pradesh has a high prevalence of illiteracy, thus a free education programme was desperately needed. Parents or guardians who do not send their children to school would face severe consequences under the Uttar Pradesh free education scheme.
