Upper Division Clerk (UDC) is common job profile in most of the government organisations.
Once I visited to an office and retrieved information about UDC and I was impressed so much by this job. Here I will share some information about work of UDC -
1) To assist the Office Superintendent in day to day work of establishment/accounts.
2) Daily disposal of files of administrative and other matters put up by LDC/UDC.
3) Duties in respect of recording, indexing, periodical weeding of unwanted papers.
4) Daily allocation of typing work to LDC, and their completion.
Therefore UDC is very responsible job profile under any government organisation.
