Education for Indian parents: the most important thing on the planet. They tend to believe that the intellectual abilities of each child are the same as those of others. Therefore, they suggest that intelligence is always associated with the ability to study well. They are unaware of linguistic, logical, aesthetic, spatial, artistic, interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligence.
They believe that smart kids are automatically in science and technology, average kids are in commerce, and below average kids are in the arts/sports.
The biggest problem for Indian parents is that they are unable to adapt their minds to a dynamically changing world. I’m not saying that all parents are like that, but many parents still don’t want to change their minds.
