Are you really asking about the scope or the placement opportunities for CSE after 6 years from 2022? I think it is the latter. However, to answer your question at face value, the scope will be great and will be led by new areas emerging from the current emerging fields like AI, ML and their applications.
However, as in the current scenario, the demand will be for the really skilled people who have got a strong conceptual understanding of these subjects and technology and will be able to adapt to the ever changing trends in these areas. And it will not be for the run of the mill folks being churned out by commercial ventures parading themselves as advanced engg. institutes. And these very same run-of-the mill folks now getting into the so-called IT firms as developers will be fighting hard for remaining employed.
And that is not too different from the current 10+ years experienced folks who went through the same madness of so-called fancy packages when they were just out of college a few years back, having learnt a few tools and programming languages and lacking in conceptual knowledge of core subjects, primarily because of a lack of capability. The cycle will go on till some some sense dawns on the students themselves and they stop going for what their neighbor’s son or cousin is going for w/o realizing their own capabilities.
