The whole selection committee wants a guy with a broad mind. All state exams have spaces for general studies. Like -
UPSC
UPSC CAPF AC (90% in the first article)
SSC CGL (25% up)
SSC CPO (SI AND ASI) (25% up to)
SSK GD (25%)
SSK MTS (25% on an optional exam)
IB ACIO
IB SA (80% on the first additional exam)
BANKING SECTOR EXAMS (25% in banking)
ANY STATE EXAM (including the state historical-geographical exam) (sometimes 25%, sometimes 50%, taking into account the state GS)
And so many exams.
Railway Examinations
Group D RRB Exam (50% including ITI positions)
GROUP C FOR RAIL (25%)
Group B (50% of the main sports quota candidates get chances for these positions)
Group A (via UPSC) and based on delegation, as well as departmental test promotion.
Post Office exams such as Personal Assistant and Sorting Assistant are administered by the SSC.
CLERK AND DEO (data entry operators) in other ministries
