Should I take the SSC first and then the UPSC, or should I go straight for the UPSC?
First SSC and then UPSC or directly UPSC, Which is better?
I am working in one a private company.
Tier 1 of the SSC CGL 2021 will be held in April. I’ll have two months for it. If I achieve a tier-1 score of 165 or more, I will resign and focus solely on UPSC preparation, since I will have a backup plan in place because the CGL-2021 can happen in August 2021. (hopefully). If not, I’ll continue to prepare with my existing job, save some money, and then apply for UPSC because not everyone has the opportunity to go full-time after college (I hope you understand).
Given that you are unemployed, I recommend that you prepare for SSC CGL up to tier 1, score well over the cut-off, secure your rank, and then apply for UPSC. Believe me, you will feel more assured.
If your family has enough money to sustain you, however, they will go straight for UPSC. Because, to be honest, UPSC preparation these days requires money (might be in lakhs).
Wishing you all the very best.

In UPSC exam there is more uncertanity so i think before going for upsc we should secure a government job.
I think attempting one or two exam of SSC gives a basic idea about examination and helps us in understanding how govt organisation release their cut off. One or two attempts in SSC gives us ability to maintain stress at small level which can be helpful in UPSC.

RajeshKaushal I think directly UPSC, becoz it takes a lot of time and u cantt afford to waste it on SSC. Lenkin agar tme hai or ek base banana hai to pehle SSC bhi kr skte hain
RajeshKaushal Just go for UPSC..dont waste time if u r reaaly clear in ur mind to do this
RajeshKaushal how different is the syllabus of SSC from UPSC? are there some common things?
SSC is mandated to conduct the exams for the Class III (Group C) non-technical and Class IV (Group D) positions But UPSC conduct the exams for the class I (Group A) and class II (Group D) positions.
