Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi said higher education institutions should develop innovative ways to deal with the new coronavirus and its various mutations, which have dealt a severe blow to both health and wealth. Speaking at the second meeting of Bodoland University in Kokrajhar on Tuesday, the Governor called on both the teaching and student community of the university to develop an interface between regional and global ideas to develop an innovative approach to combating the pandemic.
“You just can’t contain everything if you want to deactivate a virus that has caused tremendous damage to human lives. Your job is to capture global knowledge and use it for the benefit of the region. If you don’t, you won’t be able to develop yourself and the region,” he said.
