One day I was wondering whether Jobs of RBI are better that other bank jobs or not. Though I have filled out forms of almost every bank exams, be it of RBI or any other’s.

Here I have listed some of the benefits which I think is advantageous over other bank jobs:

  1. Employee transfers are due every five years in the RBI, but transfer occurs every three years in banks other than the RBI.
  2. Rural postings: RBI personnel typically live in urban regions, whereas staff of other other banks are frequently living in urban or in rural areas, because RBI does not have any branches in rural areas.
  3. Work pressure: In a public sector bank, there is a great deal of pressure to generate new business and fulfil targets. However, because there are no such work requirements at RBI, the job is less stressful in comparison.
  4. BRAND: The name is the biggest brand in banking sector. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is the forefather of all other banks. Working in RBI is a huge honour.
  5. Working Days and Hours: You will have to work five days a week, whereas in public sector banks you would be told to work six days a week.

Many people prefer working at RBI to other jobs in banks.

    Wages, benefits and allowances:

When it comes to employee wages we can easily compare despite being in the banking sector, RBI offers much higher wages than public sector banks as well as additional allowances more than in public sector banks.
