ITI is part of the Union Government’s Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. ITI institutes’ goal is to educate students in the world of industrial labour. Every year, the railway issues employment announcements for ITI aspirants in a variety of fields.

As I have observed the public sector, or government entities, is the largest employer of ITI students. Students who have finished their ITI can work for the Railways, Telecom / BSNL, IOCL, ONCG, State-wise PWDs, and other Public Sector Units. And did you know? They can also look for job chances with the Indian Armed Forces, specifically the Indian Army. The Indian Navy, Air Force, BSF, CRPF, and other paramilitary units are all part of the Indian military.

Some popular courses one can pursue are:
Electrician
Network Technician
Computer Hardware and Networking
Travel and Tour Assistant

There are many career options after ITI in various fields. If you did a diploma in Electrician, Fitter, Plumber, there will be a vast career option in Government sector.

Students who complete ITI can seek employment in various public sector/PSU units such as railroads, telecoms/BSNL, IOCL, ONCG, government disabled, and others.

In addition to this, they can also explore career opportunities in the Indian Armed Forces i.e. the Indian Army.
