I think this is an issue faced by a majority of students working in a part time job and preparing for a Govt job. I am providing here a list of what I did to tackle with this problem:
I planned in advance: Making an effort to keep track of your assignments will not only help you remember to complete them on time, but it will also offer you a sense of completion of what you planned. Believe me it’ll keep you inspired.
I was aware of my limitations/shortcomings: Without a doubt, studying should be your top priority. Working should only be used as a source of financial assistance and a way to gain further experience. So know and respect your boundaries, and don’t put yourself under more stress than you need to. This point, I think is easy.
Time management: You must ensure that the time you spend studying is well spent in order to be able to balance work and school. Be productive! To stay focused and minimise procrastination, study in short bursts with breaks. Turn off the television and have some food ready. This was though really hard for me to do but somehow I made it.
Never compromised with health: The importance of maintaining physical and mental wellness cannot be overstated! Keep in mind that you are still developing, and you must take extra precautions to protect your health. Sleep for at least 7 to 8 hours, if not more. This will boost your immune system and improve your memory.
