On the other hand, the main limitation of this program is that it teaches almost nothing - in terms of skills or knowledge.
So if you want to become a journalist or work in the media, study anything from a Bachelor of English Literature (which can help your writing skills) to a science or commercial degree. Then go for a one year diploma in journalism. It might be the best choice
