As I saw my younger brother and many other children studying during covid-19, during online education, both professors and students faced numerous challenges.
At home, there were many issues like lack of basic facilities, external distraction, and family disturbance during teaching.
Along with this following are the issues noticed by me:
a) Educational activity has been affected by the closure of schools and the suspension of classes. Across India, various boards have already postponed annual examinations and admission tests.
b) Teachers and students are unprepared for online education; they were not prepared for the sudden change from face-to-face to online learning.
c) Teachers’ personal issues, such as a lack of technical understanding.
d) Many students, particularly in rural areas, have limited or no internet access, and many students may not be able to afford a computer, laptop, or supporting mobile phone in their homes, resulting in a digital divide among students.
e) Online learning may contribute to this digital divide. According to numerous sources, the lockout has disproportionately impacted impoverished students in India, with the majority of them unable to study online learning.
Future impacts: In my view it has a positive side as well. It will definitely affect how things are gonna be in future. The negative sides may get reversed but the advancements it has brought in the country is remarkable. Digital learning has been introduced in the country, time can be saved, it has developed the use of soft copy, etc.
