The Rajasthan government has cancelled the REET Level 2 teacher eligibility test due to a paper leak incident.
After an outburst over the paper leak, the Rajasthan government cancelled the REET (Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teacher) Level 2 paper on Monday, February 6.

“The REET (Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teacher) Level 2 exam has been cancelled,” Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced during a press conference. REET Level 1 exams will not be cancelled in the meanwhile.

When the committee, led by Justice Vyas, presented its report on March 15, the CM stated that the timetable for the Level 2 exam will be revealed. This year, candidates who pass the REET Level 1 exam will be appointed on the basis of merit and will not be required to take any more exams, he stated.

The REET exam anomalies are being investigated by the SOG (Special Operations Group). “By prosecuting every guilty person, our administration will secure justice for the youth,” he continued.

The REET exams were held on September 26 and 27, with over 23 lakh applicants taking part. However, the material leaked before it had made it to over 33 centers. After the SOG launched an inquiry, it was revealed that the paper had been leaked from the education complex, and that over 35 persons had been arrested in connection with it.

Hey, there is good news for the REET level 2 aspirants that the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) exam would be held in July 2022. The examination was recently canceled by the state administration due to problems surrounding the paper leak case.

According to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, the Rajasthan police’s Special Operations Group (SOG) will establish an anti-cheating cell. He stated that no application cost will be charged to previous candidates for this re-examination and that all of the facilities provided to them during the REET test will be made available to them again.
