I think government jobs are preferable if you want a solid and secure employment with little risk and fewer expectations for pay increases, promotions, and pensions.
If you expect income increases, rapid promotions, a learning and upskill attitude, risk carrying capacity, and timely completion of specified tasks, a private job is preferable.
In my opinion a government position paying 30k is preferable. In the private sector, job losses are a constant threat. Then there’s the constant challenge of finding work throughout one’s life.
What’s the use of 50,000 if you can only earn it for a few months when you have the possibility of earning it for the rest of your life? If you have the time and resources to study for and pass a government job exam, that is the best option. Give it a try and you will find it worthy.
