I have prepared for bank exams for about 5 years. I have cleared exams like IBPS clerk and SBI clerk. Initially, preparing for computer section was really tough for me as it was not my background and never its has been ever in the past. Then I went through various articles and read the exam topics asked for computer. According to me, you must have knowledge about the following topics:

  • History of Computers
  • Fundamentals of Computer
  • Input & Output Devices
  • Important Abbreviations
  • Operating Systems
  • Microsoft Office
  • Database Management Systems
  • Shortcut keys

I followed the following strategy to prepare for it:
The most basic way to prepare for any paper is to become familiar with the major topics around which the questions are based. Similarly, the majority of the questions in the Bank Mains Exams are centred on several essential concepts in the computer awareness segment. Candidates must extensively study the crucial topics listed above in order to excel in the computer awareness section.
Apart from studying, take frequent tests in a systematic and integrated manner.
Revision is a crucial aspect of the preparation process. So, keep revising whatever you’ve learned.
From a topic like number systems, you might expect some numerical issues in the computer awareness portion. So, in order to answer questions more quickly, it’s a good idea to continuously practising these conversions.

GauravSehgal Disha publication book for bank exams is best in my view because it has straightforward topics which are relevant. It has contents both for pre and mains, so u dont have to switch between 2 or 3 books over and over again.

HrithikRao no..they are just the important topics for which u must study..along with these topics, there are topics like storage units, computer networking, basics of logic gates, etc.
