To remove some of the significant education related problems in India the Govt of India has taken the following steps, which in my opinion has brought a revolution in these fields.
- Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan – Launched in 2001 with an aim to promote ‘Education for All’.
- National Programme for Education of Girls at Elementary Level.
- Mid Day Meal Scheme – It is one meal that is provided to all children enrolled in government schools.
- Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan – It is a flagship scheme which has an aim to enhance secondary education.
- Scheme for Infrastructure Development in Minority Institutes – The scheme is for educating the minorities.
- Beti Bachao Beti Padhao – The scheme aims at providing girl child education in India.
