The Indian Knowledge Systems Division of the AICTE selects 15 proposals for its research project from six key areas
Out of 156 submissions received in nine focus areas, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTEIndian )'s Knowledge Systems (IKS) Division has chosen 15 projects in six emphasis areas.
Only four of the nearly one-third of the applications received were for Science, Engineering, and Technology. Four were chosen for Linguistics, Phonetics, Epistemology, and Language Technology, three for Indian Traditional Knowledge Base, two for Arts, Literature, Culture, Aesthetics Folklore, and Education, and one each for Management, Administration, Law, and Governance.
The main objective of this Research Project is to promote research in the field of IKS at various levels by providing opportunities to scholars in research projects on the themes of their choice and among the major areas of investigation identified by the IKS or in the IKS’s own projects and related disciplines.
Science, Engineering, Technology; Health, Wellness; Psychology, Cognition; Linguistics, Phonetics, Epistemology, Language technology; Management, Administration, Law, Governance; Arts, Literature, Culture, Folklore, Education; Indian Classical Music, Drama; Ayurveda, Yoga, and Naturopathy; and Indian Traditional Knowledge Base are among the focus areas.
While four were chosen in Science, Engineering, Technology, and Linguistics, and two in Phonetics, Epistemology, and Language Technology; two in Arts, Literature, Culture, Folklore, and Education; one each in Management, Administration, Law, Governance, and Ayurveda, Yoga, and Naturopathy; and three in Indian Traditional Knowledge Base.
