The Supreme Court on Wednesday rejected a petition seeking to have the CBSE and many other boards hold offline board examinations for classes 10th and 12th this year, saying that such petitions provide “false hope” and cause “confusion” among students who will be taking the exams.
The plea is “ill-advised” and “premature,” according to the supreme court, as the authorities have yet to make a decision on how to organize exams for the various boards.
The CBSE has decided to begin term two board exams for classes 10th and 12th from April.
