Under the scope of these bylaws, a ‘Private Candidate’ is a person who is not a Regular Candidate but is eligible to take and/or appear in the Board’s All India/Delhi Senior School Certificate Examination or All India/Delhi Secondary School Examination.
- A private candidate must submit an application in the prescribed form, along with the examination fee, and three copies of passport-size photographs, duly signed by the candidate and countersigned by the authorities in the case of teachers, and a member of the Governing Body of the Board or the Head of a School affiliated to the Board in the case of others, to the Regional Officer of the Board within the prescribed time frame.
- If a private candidate’s application is submitted after the deadline, he will be charged a late fee.
- Regular applicants who have not been promoted to class XII of a Board-affiliated or other recognized school will not be allowed to sit for the Board’s Senior School Certificate Examination as private candidates.
