The Computing Lab of the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) in Delhi has launched “Project Robinhood”, which will track content on the Twitter microblogging site related to the 2022 Indian Assembly Elections.
Based on the data collected so far, the team found that Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Uttrakhand reported the most hate content – according to geotagged tweets. Project contributors include Drishya Uniyal, graduate student, Sara Masood, graduate student, and Dr. Tanmoy Chakraborty, associate professor.
Most political leaders and their supporters use social media platforms to share news about their political campaigns during elections.
