Home postings in SSC CGL depend on the following factors:
1. Tier 1 and Tier 2 marks: The higher your score, the better your chances of returning to your native state. posting
2. Home state: If you are from the southern portion of India or the Seven Sisters in the North East, your prospects for your home state are good.
3. Your Category: If you fit into one of the reserved groups, your chances of receiving home postings rise because the CutOffs are lower than in the General Category.
4. Openings in your own state: The number of vacancies in each state varies year to year. If there are additional openings, you have a decent probability of being placed at home.
5. Posting preferences: The type of post you pick has a significant impact on your home postings. For example, if you want to work as a Customs Examiner, you’ll only be able to get jobs in coastal cities like Mumbai and Chennai.
