The CET (Common Eligibility Test) in Haryana is a state-level exam conducted by the Haryana Staff Selection
Commission (HSSC). It was introduced by the Haryana Government to make the recruitment process for Group C and Group D government jobs.
Earlier, candidates had to apply separately and appear in different exams for each vacancy. This created extra burden, confusion, and expenses. With the CET system, candidates only need to appear for one exam, and their CET score remains valid for applying to multiple posts. Based on this score, candidates are shortlisted for further stages like skill tests, interviews, or document verification.
