KGMU Nursing 2021 is a State-level entrance exam that facilitates admission into a four year B.Sc nursing course. The exam is conducted by King George’s Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow.
The candidates will appear to compete for 380 seats in total across seven nursing colleges at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, and the selection will be made strictly on the basis of their performance in the examination. Moreover, it is also crucial that the candidate satisfies the eligibility criteria for appearing in the examination.

Who is Eligible for KGMU Nursing 2021?
The candidates searching for admission in KGMU Nursing are required to satisfy the prescribed eligibility criteria for the State-level entrance exam. The eligibility criteria for KGMU nursing admission are mentioned below:
The Minimum Age required of the Candidate is 17 years as of 31st December 2021.
Candidates must have qualified 10th and 12th in the following subjects – (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English)
The Minimum Qualifying Percentage is 45% (General Category), and 40% (Reserved Category) in the qualifying exam.
Students who belong to State Open School and National Institute of Open School are also eligible for the Admission Process.
Relaxation is applicable to the Reserved Candidates as per the Reservation Policy.
Other Eligibility Conditions:
Both Male and females are eligible for the KGMU B.Sc Nursing Examination.
Vivekananda College of Nursing, Lucknow, Sahara College of Nursing, and BCM College of Nursing have seats for Female Candidates only.
Candidates must be medically fit, which says that Candidates who are shortlisted on the merit list have to undergo a medical examination for the admission process.
KGMU BSc Nursing 2021 Admission Process:
The admission process for KGMU B.Sc. Nursing involves filling of application forms to attend the counselling and submitting the admission fee. Brief steps for the admission process is given below:
Firstly, visit the official website of King George Medical University, Lucknow Uttar Pradesh –(https://www.kgmu.org)
Go to the Homepage and click on the application form link.
If you are a new user, you need to register yourself first.
In the Registration Process, enter your basic details such as Name, and other Personal details such as date of Birth, Mobile Number, etc.
After the successful registration, the Registration ID and Password are sent on your Registered Mobile Number and E-mail ID.
Now, after registration, login and make the payment either online or through bank challan.
Upload the Scanned Photograph, Signature, and a Scanned Sample Sheet (Signature, Handwriting Sample, Thumb Impression, and Identification Mark).
Candidates must note that the scanned images must be as per the specifications.
Fill in the rest details correctly and finally submit the form.
KGMU Form Fees for the Candidates:
The Online Form Fees of KGMU is different for both General and Reserved Category.
The Fees for General Category is Rs 2000/- and Rs 1200/- for SC and ST Candidates.
Candidates can make their payment either Offline or Online.
Offline Payment can also be done through bank challan – Allahabad bank/ HDFC Bank or any CBS Branch of India.
Online Payment can be done using Internet Banking/ Credit/ Debit Card.

This is an Offline Based Entrance Exam.

The Question Paper is available only in the English Language

Freshers in this field can expect a salary ranging from Rs. 7,000 to Rs. 15,000 per month.
The salary improves with experience. Candidates can expect their salary to be Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 30,000 after 2 to 3 years of experience.
Highly experienced nurses may also get a salary package of Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 72,000 or more than that.
