CUET for all UGC funded Central Universities

The Admission Process has been changed now for UG. The Executive Council of the University of Delhi at its meeting held on 17th December 2021 has decided to conduct an Entrance Exam for Under Graduate admission through Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) or Delhi University Common Entrance Test (DUCET) for Academic Session 2022-2023.

This decision was already passed by the Academic Council in its meeting held on 10th December 2021.Until now the admission for UG courses in the university were done on the basis of the class 12 board examination result in which the university used to declare a cut-off list and the candidates were selected as per that.
The Admission Process 2022 will be enforced from the 1st week of June through online mode. It has been decided that the Entrance test will be done through CUCET but if CUCET board refuses to conduct the entrance test then it will be shifted to The Delhi University Common Test (DUCET).
Professor Yogesh Singh (Vice-Chancellor) said that there will be two parts to the exam. There will be an Aptitude Test in the first part and the second part will have many combinations and options. He also said that it will be a “ fair system” and it will provide “equal opportunities” to the students. “It is in the larger interest of the student community and they should not worry about it because if they perform well here they will get admission”. According to the VC of DU, the exam should be conducted twice a year so that students will have more opportunities.

DU Common entrance test for UG courses

DU Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh said that until now admission was based on the class 12 percentile and this was not fair to some students because the merit based system does not allow admission to those students whose college gives marks very strictly and they could not secure good percentile in the exam but from now DU undergraduate (UG) admission will be based on Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) from this year.

So from next year Delhi university is going to enroll UG students through an entrance test which will be a central university common entrance test. If for some reason CUCET is not held then the university conducts its own entrance test which will be delhi university common test DUCET.

Vice chancellor of DU formed a ninth member committee that suggested holding a university common entrance test and On tenth of december university academic council had approved holding a common entrance test for delhi university. This test begins from the session 2022-2023 onwards.The exam will be conducted within 40 days after the board exams.
The VC of DU said that the exam will be in two parts. The first part will be a common paper for all the candidates and the second part will be based on the subject combinations.

CUCET, DUET for UG, PG Admissions - Revised Rules Decoded for Delhi University, DU Admissions 2022

The admissions process for Delhi University’s 2022 Undergraduate and Postgraduate, UG, PG degrees will commence soon. This time, though, DU Admission will be handled differently. The next game-changers will be the Central Universities Common Entrance Test, CUCET 2022, and the Delhi University Entrance Test, DUET 2022. CUCET 2022 will be held for DU UG admissions starting this academic year. The University Grants Commission has decided that all the UGC funded central universities will take admission through Common University Entrance Test (CUET) from the academic session 2022-2023. This exam will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) in 13 languages Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Punjabi, Odia and English.

CUCET 2022: DU Admission process
To appear for CUCET 2022, students would be expected to register and fill an application form most likely via CUET. Since, this exam is being held for DU admissions, it is likely for the form to be hosted on DU as well.
