Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test (CG TET) is the eligibility exam conducted by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB) to determine the eligibility of candidates as Classes 1 to 5 and 6 to 8 teachers. CG TET exam is not a recruitment exam, it is conducted to validate the eligibility of the candidates.

How to Apply –

CG TET application is accepted through online mode only; candidates are not allowed to apply offline for CG TET. To apply online for CG TET, candidates have to follow these steps.

  • Visit the official website of CG TET, vyapam.cgstate.gov.in
  • Click on the link saying “Apply Online” given on the home page.
  • Enter all the details asked in the application form as per your documents. After completion of the registration process, a registration number will be sent to your registered contact details. Note down the Registration No. and Application No for login purposes.
  • Upload a Scanned copy of your latest Photograph and Signature in the prescribed format and dimension.
  • Proceed to pay CG TET application fee online or offline through e-challan or debit/credit card and net banking. This is the last stage of the CG TET application process.
  • Always keep a printed copy of the CG TET application form and payment proof.

Educational Qualification-

Level (Class I to V) –

  • Candidates who had passed their Intermediate (10+2) or
  • its equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education or
  • 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or
  • Bachelor’s Degree passed/ appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education can apply for this post.

Level (Class VI to VIII)-

  • Candidates passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education or
  • 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or Graduate with at least 50% marks and a 1-year B.Ed passed or
  • 2-year B.Ed appearing in final year Examination or Senior Secondary or its equivalent exam passed with minimum 50% marks or
  • passed/appearing in the final year of 2 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) can apply for this post.

  • The annual salary of being a qualified teacher: INR 1.11 lakhs to Rs. 4.68 lakhs per annum.
