Department of School Education, Government of AP conducts Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) to determine the eligibility of candidates as teachers of Classes 1 to 8 in all schools of Andhra Pradesh (Government/ ZP/ MP/ Municipal/ Recognised Private Aided & Private Unaided etc.). The APTET 2022 will be conducted by the Department of School Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh in all 13 Districts of the state of Andhra Pradesh. APTET 2022 will be held online as a Computer Based Test (CBT). “The objective is to ensure National Standards and benchmark of Teacher quality in the recruitment process in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE)”, informs the official notification of APTET. AP TET exam is conducted annually typically in the month of October.

How to apply-
Through this part, you will learn about AP TET 2022 Online Registration. Just follow the steps provided here-
- Open the website of https://aptet.apcfss.in/
- On the homepage, you will see the link to APTET Application Form 2022.
- First of all, enter the details for registration and create your registration id and password.
- After the fill the online form and enter all the required information like the Candidates Educational Qualification details, Address, Choose Payment Gateway, Amount, etc. and at the end, click Submit.
- After submission, your Application Number will be generated.
- In the end, you should take a printout of this fully filled application form.
APTET Eligibility-
Candidates need to meet separate APTET 2022 eligibility criteria for Paper 1 and Paper 2
Minimum Qualifications for APTET Paper 1 (Classes 1 to 5)
The eligibility criteria for APTET 2022 Paper 1 is such that candidates:
(a) Should have completed Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50 per cent marks. However, in the case of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45 per cent. And pass a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd) / 2 - year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

(b) Should have completed Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45 per cent marks. In respect of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 40 per cent. To have cleared 2 - year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education. (BElEd) / 2 - year Diploma in Education (Special Education) in case of the candidates, who have passed or been admitted to DElEd / DEd, course prior to the issue of these guidelines.
Note: NCTE guidelines were issued in the month of August 2010. Therefore, the candidates who acquired qualifications prior to August 2010 are eligible with the above-said qualifications/Percentage of marks.
Minimum Qualifications for APTET Paper 2-A (Classes 6 to 8):
The eligibility criteria for APTET 2022 Category II are such that candidates:
(a) Should have completed BA/BSc/BCom, with at least 50 per cent marks. In the case of SC/ST/BC/Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 40 per cent. And pass in Bachelor of Education (BEd) course / Bachelor of Education (BEd -Special Education).
(Or)
(b) Should have completed 4-year BA Ed/BSc Ed, with at least 50 per cent marks, in case of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45 per cent.
Minimum Qualifications for APTET Paper 2-B (Classes 6 to 8)
(i) Physical Education Teachers:
-Must possess an Intermediate Certificate issued by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh (or) Equivalent certificate recognized by Board of Intermediate Education, Govt. of A.P. and Under Graduate Diploma in Physical Education (U.G.D.P.Ed.) of One or Two years duration/ Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed.) of duration not less than two years (or equivalent) from any NCTE Recognized Institution.
(Or)
-Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent (or) Bachelor’s Degree with Physical Education an elective subject (or) Graduate in Physical Education (BPE) at least three years duration and Under Graduate Diploma in Physical Education (U.G.D.P.Ed.) of one or two years duration/ Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed) of duration not less than two years (or equivalent) from any NCTE recognized Institution
(ii) Physical Education Teachers /School Assistant- Physical Education:
-Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent (or) Bachelor’s Degree with Physical Education an elective subject (or) Graduate in Physical Education (BPE) at least 3 years duration.
(And)
-Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) of at least one-year duration course from NCTE Recognised University/Institution.
Note:
- The candidates, who are appearing in the final year of Bachelor of Education (Or) Diploma in Elementary Education etc., are also eligible to appear for the TET exam subject to the condition that the candidates cannot appear for DSC with this TET certificate unless the candidates acquire requisite qualification.
- A Diploma/ Degree course in Teacher Education recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) only shall be considered. However, in the case of Diploma in Education (Special Education) and BEd (Special Education), a course recognised by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) only shall be considered.
- Intermediate qualification of Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) of Andhra Pradesh State or its equivalent as recognised by BIE, Andhra Pradesh State only shall be considered. So, the Bachelor’s Degree of a University Recognised by UGC only shall be considered.

- Candidates who pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) will be welcome to apply for various Teacher positions in Andhra Pradesh government schools.
- The AP TET Salary for Teachers differs each year during the probation period and is different for primary and secondary school teachers.
- The AP TET Salary is determined at Rs. 5200-20200/- Plus G.P. Rs. 2700/- (PM).

Note-
(i) If the candidate is having more than one certificate achieved at the International, National or State level. The certificate secured at a high level will be considered. At any rate, a combination of all certificates will not be considered.
(ii) Participation in veteran Championship (Master men, Master women), Invitation tournaments, Private tournaments and occasional tournaments are not considered.
(iii) The list of Games and Sports for considering the incentive marks is given in Annexure.
(iv) 20% Weightage marks for the Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) of the State Government for Physical Education candidates will be considered on the basis of Written Marks + Incentive Marks. 20% Weightage marks will be arrived by limiting total marks to 150 only.
