“To evaluate the eligibility criteria of the candidates, the attention is mainly on the veracity of the caste, age evidence, and educational credentials. The officer must justify the rejection of an application when it is recommended for rejection. If the flaw is modest and passable, the presiding officer has the authority to overrule. In these days of openness, candidates are permitted to take competitive tests or join the department provided all necessary documentation is in order.” Although this sounds good, there is always a fear of clearing the DV or will I have any issues.
There are various examples where students faced issues during DV in various exam processes. Recently a notification of BSSC has been released where some students had faced some issues during DV and now after their appeal, their criteria have been changed.
I am attaching here the document -
The most common problems faced during the DV are: -
The majority of candidates who are denied are final-year students whose graduation date does not coincide with the SSC’s notification date.
For example, if the letter from the SSC states that the candidate must graduate by August 2020, then all students must have graduated by that date. Please keep in mind that graduating does not imply that you have passed your final year test. It indicates that your last year’s results should have been released by August 2020.
The majority of students who are denied during document verification are doing so solely because of this provision. They apply for the test, and pass all of the tiers, but are ultimately refused since their final year’s results were released after the SSC’s notification deadline.
Unless the candidate does not have all of the requisite documents with them at the time of verification, there is no other grounds for denial. All of the papers are fundamental documents such as recent pictures, school certificates, graduation certificates, id proof, and any other relevant certifications such as caste, ex-service, PwD, and so on.
At the same time, there is nothing as much to worry about DV. Here I am citing an example of an Organization SSC. During SSC verification no candidate has been rejected to date unless forged documents have been found during cross-checking/ verification. If any discrepancy has been found in any document or any required document that is not submitted or not in line with per prescribed format/guidelines, then the competent authority would take a declaration from your side as to the time length, within which u must have to submit the desired/required documents at the earliest.
