41 Indian Universities featured in 19th edition of QS(Quacquarelli Symonds) World University Rankings

Analysis

As per the analysis done by the QS analysts on Thursday, the 19th edition of the QS world university ranking displayed 41 Indian Universities out of which 27 universities were displayed in the list of top 1000. Previous year, the number of Indian universities which stood in the list of 1000 were 22 only. If we look at the last year’s report published by QS world university ranking, 6 Indian universities made their place within 300 and 3 universities featured under the rank 200 which is again the same for this year.

Rank of Top Indian Universities and improvement

IISc, Bangalore emerged as the best higher education institution in India by grabbing the rank 155 globally in the latest edition of the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings. The Indian Institute of Science performed outstanding to improve up to 31 positions in its rank as compared to last year.
Top 2 Indian institutes to reserve their rank under 200 are Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and Indian Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. IIT-B grabbed the rank 172 where IIT-D placed at 174. IIT-B improved 5 positions from last year where IIT-D improved with 11 positions as compared to last year.
