Introduction
DSSSB PRT exam is conducted every year for Delhi and NCR primary schools for recruiting teachers at Primary Level. A Primary Teacher has to teach all subjects to the students putting more focus on the literacy, science, and numeracy part of education.

Application Process:
New Registration
Visit the website https://dsssbonline.nic.in/ and click “New Registration”.
Read the instructions carefully and fill the form.
For documents candidates need to have their Xth class Roll No. to fill the registration form and Aadhar Number ready for identification proof.
Candidates should note down the registration number and password before the next step.
Application Form
After the registration process, login with the credentials to fill the Application form.
After login, click ‘Apply’ and fill the form.
Uploading the photo, signature, left and right thumb impressions will be the next step to be followed. It requires a set dimension and size for documents which are as follows:

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications | 1. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-years Diploma in elementary education (by whatever name known) from a recognized Board. |
| 2. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-years Diploma in elementary education (by whatever name known) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) regulations-2002 . |
| 3. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-years Bachelor of elementary education (B.El.Ed). |
| 4. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-years Diploma in Education (special education) from a recognized Board. |
| 5. Graduation and 2-years Diploma in elementary education (by whatever name known) from a recognized Board. |
| 6. Pass in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). |
| 7. Must have passed Hindi or Urdu or Punjabi or English as a subject at Secondary Level. |
| Note:- Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks (in Academic qualification) shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC/PH. |

Factors Affecting DSSSB Teacher Cut Off Marks
-There are several factors in general that play a large role in influencing the official cut off marks of the DSSSB Teacher recruitment exam. The major factors are:
- The ratio of the vacancies available to the candidates appearing for the exam.
- The difficulty level of the questions in the respective phases of the examination.
- The previous year cut off trends also play a role in deciding the cutoff.
Age Limit
30 years
For Contractual Teachers:
- one-time relaxation in the upper age limit up to a maximum period of 5 years.
- worked for at least 120 days in the particular academic year.

Job Profile
- Providing support to a lead teacher in charge of a classroom.
- Teach or tutoring individual students or small groups or classrooms.
- Further duties include creating lesson plans, managing the documents, and overseeing lesson preparations.
- Taking care of attendance and managing the discipline of students in the classroom from time to time.
- Giving one-on-one guidance to students if they need after a group lesson with the lead teacher.
