Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology Thiruvananthapuram invites applications for the following post via direct recruitment:
Post Name: Junior Research Fellow
Essential Qualification:
(i) The candidate must have secured first class in all their qualifying examinations. Post Graduate Degree in Biological Sciences is mandatory.
(ii) The Candidate should have qualified National Eligibility Test - CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)/or National Level Examination conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions viz., DBT-Biotechnology Eligibility Test/ Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology & Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JBEEBILS)/ ICMR Entrance Exam/Approved DST Inspire Fellowship are preferred.
Desirable: The candidate must have demonstrable understanding of basic molecular biology. The candidates must have documented prior experience in cell culture for at least 6 months. Candidates with prior experience in immunofluorescence and microscopy and those with good scientific writing skills are preferred. Candidates must have a keen interest in mechanistic dissection of diseases, willing to learn quickly and be team players with good organizational and inter-personal skills.
