The Madhya Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (MPTET) 2020 conducted on March 5, 2022 for which the Board of Secondary Education, MP released the official notification in January, 2020. The Board had not mentioned the number of vacancies in the official notification. On October 3, 2022 board declared the result.
After the announcement of Result of Madhya Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (MPTET) 2020, some of the students who appeared for MPTET started a protest with the demand of 51,000 primary teacher vacancies. According to a report circulating on social media, there has not been any recruitment of primary teachers held for the past 11 years and still the government has not issued any notification regarding Primary teacher vacancy.
As per the official report released by the Education department of October 19, 2022, shows the district-wise teacher requirement in Primary and middle schools in Madhya Pradesh.
A total of 62,860 seats are vacant for Primary teachers in Madhya Pradesh, according to the report by MP Education Department. Satna (District in MP) has the highest number of requirements for primary teachers (2154 seats).
According to the report released by the Education Department MP 22,246 seats are vacant for appointments in Govt. middle schools of Education. A total of 5,332 schools are in Madhya Pradesh with zero school teachers, as per the report.
