Keeping in mind the educational development of homeless students, the Government of Delhi announced to set up a boarding school for homeless students, who are deprived of basic facilities. As mentioned in Para 93 of Education Section of State Budget 2022-23, Delhi govt. allocated a total amount of rupees 10 crore for Boarding school.
While Announcing the state Budget 2022-23, Deputy CM of Delhi emphasised to provide basic education to homeless children. He announced to set up a boarding school with modern facilities concerning the future of these underprivileged, homeless children at an early age.
Objective
- To provide the basic education to children from homeless families who live on roadsides and footpaths.
Schools for homeless students targets the every child of society who left behind to get the basic and early education. These schools facilitate those children and try to bring them into the mainstream of the society.
