Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad invites applications for the following post via direct recruitment:
Post Name: Network Administrator
Essential Qualification:
Completed B.Tech/ B.E/ in IT/CS/EE/ECE in First Class or MCA/ M.Sc.( Computers)/ B.Sc. (Computers) with First Division.
Any other Masters or Bachelors degree in First Division with Min: 1 Year of Network Administration Experience.
Essential Work Experience:
Desirable:
Maintain, implement, and troubleshoot networks.
Design and support our network systems and infrastructure.
Configure and operate routers, L2 switches, Wi-Fi Access Points
Monitor network performance and make recommendations based on performance analysis.
Maintaining Network Diagrams
Knowledge of Spanning Tree Protocol
IP addressing - Subnetting, Classes etc.,
Knowledge of VLANs, Access Ports, Trunk Ports, inter VLAN routing.
Need to have good knowledge in Network installation, LAN, WAN Technologies.
IP Addressing IPv4 and IPv6
Routing Concepts
Network Security Fundamentals
Knowledge of Firewalls, Access points, Wireless controllers
Apply troubleshooting methodologies to resolve problems.
Perform and document fault isolation.
Troubleshoot client connectivity issues involving DNS.
Troubleshoot client- and router-based DHCP connectivity issues.
Configure, verify and troubleshoot basic HSRP
Describe common access layer threat mitigation techniques.
Knowledge of Assembling Computers/ Workstations/ Servers and Computer peripherals
