Introduction
The post for Counselor Comes under Group ‘B’ of DSSSB Examination. The post comes under two departments:
- Department of Women and Child Development.
- Prison Department

Application Process
New Registration
Visit the website https://dsssbonline.nic.in/ and click “New Registration”.
Read the instructions carefully and fill the form. For documents candidates need to have their Xth class Roll No. to fill the registration form and Aadhar Number ready for identification proof.
Candidates should note down the registration number and password before the next step.
Application Form
- After the registration process, login with the credentials to fill the Application form.
- After login, click ‘Apply’ and fill the form.
- Uploading the photo, signature, left and right thumb impressions will be the next step to be followed. It requires a set dimension and size for documents which are as follows:

Eligibility Criteria

| (iii) One year experience of working with clinical psychologist /organization working in the field of Mental Health / Drug De-addiction Centre / Psychiatric ward in any Hospital / Clinic’ OR | |
| B. Master’s Degree in Psychology / Counseling Psychology / Clinical Psychology / Applied Psychology from a recognized University / Institute. | |
| C.Studied Hindi as a Subject at any level from Secondary onward. | |
| Desired | M. Phil in Clinical Psychology. |
Scheme and Pattern
Exam Pattern
The exam will be TIER -I online examination with Multiple-Choice Questions in 2021. The examination is Bilingual and is conducted in Hindi and English language.

Job Profile
- Minimum 2 Counselling sessions as part of the reception unit upon receiving a child and the inmates.
- Plan goal oriented counseling sessions for children or inmates who need help.
- Record of counselling sessions: The summary and key highlights of each counselling session should be documented in the case file.
