On Wednesday, October 19 the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan launched the draft of National Credit Framework (NCrF) for public feedback. Launching the draft of NCrF for public consultation, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan termed it a “Game-changer”. The National Credit Frameword (NCrF) enable the integration of academic and vocational domains to ensure flexibility and mobility between the two - PIB official report.
According to the PIB report, all the institutions, schools, ITIs, AICTE-affiliated engineering colleges, centrally-funded higher educational institutions, state universities and regulatory authorities/bodies to host the public consultation for NCrF on their website for seeking suggestions from citizens.

Students - Through the availability of numerous entry and exit/work choices, NCrF will ensure flexibility in the period of study or courses. It will also clear the way for the crediting of all learning hours, including academic, vocational, and experiential learning. It will also give the provision for lifelong learning - any time anywhere learning.
Institutions - With the help of NCrF, higher education institutions will work together to encourage multidisciplinary learning and develop students’ knowledge bases.
Education Industry - NCrF will allow students to attain National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) - approved foundational skills developed by industry and be more employable. Micro-credentials will allow students to integrate swift educational and skill development. It will also helps in:

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) invites application for free UPSC coaching to candidates belongs to Scheduled Caste (SC).
