LIC HFL ASSISTANT MANAGERS - LEGAL Recruitment
Life Insurance Corporation of India Housing Finance Limited (LIC HFL), a subsidiary of LIC, is one of the largest housing finance mortgage loan companies in India. The company keeps on inviting applications by releasing the official notification to recruit dynamic and young people for the posts of Assistant Managers - Legal for its branch offices all over India. Interested eligible Indian candidates can participate in this recruitment process for a better career. Here we are going to discuss the information related to their recruitment exams like eligibility criteria, selection and application process, exam scheme and other details.
1. Eligibility Criteria:

2. Selection Procedure:
There will be a single-stage computer-based online test followed by an interview.
A. Online Examination: It consists of a total of 200 multiple-choice questions carrying a maximum of 200 marks for a total duration of two hours in the English language only. The questions in the test consist of the following sections:

- Penalty will be levied for wrong answers marked in the Online Objective Test. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate, one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty for arriving at the correct mark. If a question is left without an attempt, i.e., no answer is marked by the candidate, then no mark will be deducted for that question.
- A candidate will have to obtain a minimum score for each section of the online test as prescribed by the Company in order to finalise the number of candidates to be called for an interview.
- Corrected marks obtained by each candidate in separate sessions (if conducted) will be normalised using the Equi-Percentile Equating Method.
- The first three sections of the Online Examination are only qualifying sections and the final merit list of the Online Examination will be solely on the basis of the marks obtained in the Professional Knowledge Section of the Online Examination.
B. Interview:
Depending on the number of vacancies, only candidates ranked sufficiently high in the order of merit on the basis of marks in the Professional Knowledge section of the Online Examination will be called for interview.
C. Merit List:
The final merit list for the selection of suitable candidates will be prepared on the basis of combined marks of the Professional Knowledge section of Online Test and Interview, as per merit ranking, subject to minimum qualifying marks in the interview.
D. Medical Examination:
Selected candidates will be appointed as Assistant Manager-Legal if found medically fit during the pre-recruitment medical examination.
E. Probation Period:
Candidates will have a probation period of 1 year from the date of appointment as Assistant Manager - Legal which may be extended for a maximum period of 1 year.
F. Posting:
This recruitment process is based on state-wise merit so candidates can apply for vacancies for one state only. The centre for the online test will be limited to the state for which the candidate has applied and opted. After appointment as the post of Assistant Manager - Legal, the candidate will be initially posted preferably for that State and may later be transferred to any other State depending upon the requirement of the Company.
G. Remuneration/Salaries:
The salary of the candidate appointed as Assistant Manager–Legal in the initial stage (depending on the place of posting) will be around ₹ 56,000/- per month which includes House Rent Allowance and City Compensatory Allowance. Apart from the allowances, the appointed candidates will also be provided with Provident Fund, Mediclaim, Gratuity, LTC, Group Insurance Scheme, Housing Loan, Performance Linked Incentive and other benefits as per the rules of the company.
3. Application Procedure:
The application process will be categorised into 2 stages:
A. Application Registration:
Before applying, a candidate must have
(i) scanned images of his/her recent passport size, coloured photograph, signature, left thumb impression and a handwritten declaration (in English and in blue or black ink on white paper).
(ii) a valid and active personal email ID and mobile number. LIC HFL verifies these details by sharing the registration and password and may use it to send the call letters for the exam and interview.
The text for handwritten declaration is as follows:
“I, __ (Name of candidate) __, hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”
Dimensions of the images must be specific to be uploaded which may be as follows (at 200 DPI):

Steps:
- Candidates satisfying the conditions of eligibility should visit the website of the company: [(https://www.lichousing.com/)]
- After login to the website, clock on the ‘’Careers” tab and go to the “Job Opportunities” link to open the RECRUITMENT OF ASSISTANT MANAGERS - LEGAL” page.
- Click on the “APPLY ONLINE” option which will open a new screen.
- Select the tab “Click here for New Registration” and fill in the required information mentioned there correctly.
- Thereafter, a Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. An email and SMS showing the Provisional Registration Number and Password will also be sent to the candidate.
- In case the candidate is unable to complete the application form in one go, he/she can save the already entered data by selecting the “SAVE & NEXT” tab.
- Now login with Provisional Registration Number and Password (in case the candidate has not completed the application form in one go) and fill the details carefully and click on ‘Validate your details’ and ‘SAVE & NEXT’ tabs.
- Now upload the scanned images of the photograph and signature.
- Then click on the ‘Preview Tab’ to preview and verify the entire application form. If any modification/correction is required, go to the edit option and make the necessary amendments.
- After ensuring that the photograph, signature and other details uploaded by you are correct, click on the ‘SUBMIT’ tab to proceed to the next step.
B. Payment of fees:
- A candidate has to pay the application fee/intimation fee (non-refundable) online mode only through the Payment Gateway integrated with the Application Form.
- Payment can be made using Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, or Cash Card/Mobile Wallet.
- On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt will be generated.
- After successful payment of the fee, a confirmation page will be generated for the candidate.
- A candidate is required to take a printout of the e-receipt and confirmation page which contains the details of the candidate and the fee paid while filling the application. They can use it for further recruitment processes in the future.
C. Issue of call letters and Examination:

- They can download their call letters for Computer-Based Tests (CBT) by giving details about (i) Registration Number, (ii) Password and (iii) Date of Birth.
- Candidates must affix a recent recognisable photograph on the printed call letter.
- Candidates will have to appear at the examination centre with (i) a call letter (ii) original photo identity proof issued by the Govt. Authorisation and photocopy of the same photo identity proof which is brought in the original.
- A candidate will have to appear for the examination on the date given in the respective call letter/admit card at his own risk and expense.
- Candidates will have to report themselves at the venue of the examination before the commencement time of the test as mentioned on the call letter for various formalities like verification and collection of various required documents, login, and instructions. Candidates reporting late after the reporting time specified on the call letter for the examination will not be allowed to take the examination.
- If a candidate qualifies for the interview, a separate call letter will be issued for him/her.
D. Identity and Biometric Data Verification:
The biometric data and photograph of the candidate will be captured and verified by the organisation during the examination, interview and joining processes. In case of a mismatch of these data, the candidate may be denied or debarred from the recruitment processes. Hence the candidates are advised to take care of their identity while uploading the documents and giving fingerprints during the examination.
