Can SSC CGL 2021 Mains be postponed which is scheduled to be held on 28 Jan. 2022?

It is hard to forecast about the postponement of SSC CGL 2021. As the list of forthcoming exams are there to be completed on time as per schedule but several backlog exams those are pending due to the covid 19 after effect and a new version coming every passing day, are also in pipe line. But, on the other hand, the the threat of latest version of covid ie; OMICRON is spreading every next day and the govt and authorities have been scanning the increasing threat of OMICRON. To avoid any risk, several govts have taken initiatives and announced to shut the educational organisations / institutes as per their individual resources of administration.
Hence, no surprise if SSC to announces postponment of CGL 2021 Mains at eleventh hour. BUT, it is only an speculation based on the recent alarming situation.
Hence, candidates are advised to keep continue their preparation marathon and remain ready if SSC CGL 2021 MAINS gets held on 28Jan, 2022. So, guys, don’t waste your time and be prepared upto the last moment to write your CGL MAINS 2021 as scheduled to be held on 28Jan, 2022.
Best Wishes to you!

Yes, there are many posts in which you can be a class 1 officer through promotion.
Like:

- AAO:- It is a Group B gazetted post and very soon you will be promoted to Group A officer.

- Excise/custom Inspector: The promotions are slow here but after your 2nd promotion you can reach Group A gazetted post.

- Auditor/Accountant: If you clear the departmental exam SAS, you can reach Group A in some years.

- Assistant in CSS/MEA/Other Ministries: The promotions are slow here also but after a promotion or two, you can reach group A post.

Note: In some cases, Rank may not be promoted to Group A but according to MACP rule, salary can be promoted up to Group A level.

Promotion of an Auditor/Accountant selected through SSC CGL

An Auditor/Accountant(2800 GP) is promoted to the position of Sr. Accountant/Auditor(4200 GP) after a competition of three years of service. (In CGA/CAG- 3 years, in CGDA - 6 years)

But the good thing in every department is that after the completion of 2 years of continuous service, an auditor/accountant can appear for the departmental exam SAS.
After clearing SAS an auditor/accountant is directly promoted to Assistant Accounts Officer(AAO)(4800 GP) and after 4 years you will be promoted to 5400 GP.

Should Aspirants of SSC CGL Take Exams Like SSC MTS and Group D?

    Samikshasingh

    Yes, Why Not?

Every single exam is an opportunity to become employed.

As we all know, getting Govt. jobs nowadays is so difficult and the uncertainty here is at its peak. No one can be sure of a particular job whether it is CGL, CHSL, or even MTS. Each of these exams has different tiers and each tier has its own difficulty level and competition. Who will get disqualified at which stage, no one knows( maybe very little, but there are chances)

So for a safer side, we should keep trying for every single opportunity that is given to us. Moreover, the syllabus of CGL and MTS is approximately the same, and the syllabus of Group D is even less as it has no English as a subject.

So, keep trying until we get a job.

Is the Date of Photo Compulsory On The Photo Itself While Filling an SSC Form?

      Chittu

Depends on the notification of SSC of that particular YEAR.

SSC has different criteria for photos for different exams.

For example, In SSC CHSL 2020 and CGL 2020, the date of photo on the photo was required but in SSC CGL 2021 date of the photo on the photo itself is not required.

So, it will be safe to read the notification clearly every time before filling a form of SSC.

The jobs offered by SSC CPO and SSC CGL are different and depends on type of job you desire to join. The posts of SSC CPO are mainly for several sections of armed forces such as:

        • Sub-Inspector (Exe.) in Delhi Police (Male and Female)

        • Sub-Inspector (GD) in CRPF

        • Sub-Inspector (GD) in BSF

        • Sub-Inspector (GD) in ITBP

        • Sub-Inspector (GD) in CISF

        • Assistant Sub-Inspector (GD) in CISF

        • Sub-Inspector (GD) in SSB
So, if you want to serve by joining most reputed police force in the country then SSC CPO is a better choice for you. Whereas, SSC CGL is for those who desire to join the Central Government Jobs in Group B or Group C such as:

        • Assistant Audit Officer

        • Assistant Accounts Officer

        • Assistant Section Officer

        • Auditor, etc
There are few posts in SSC CGL like the Central Excise Inspector, Sub Inspector in CBI, Sub Inspector in Narcotics Control Bureau, and Inspector of Income Tax can offer you the thrill and field work experience similar to that of the posts from SSC CPO.

        Sandeeprai
These two are of two different zoner jobs. It’s a personal preference where a person wants to serve. However both the exams offer some on-field jobs that can have some thrill. But only CGL offers some desk jobs which is missing in CPO.
Although both will provide you with the path to serve the nation, it’s up to you to decide the path.

        Kamal

No, According to SSC notification, the maximum age limit for 2400/2800 GP is 27 years.

See the age criteria in SSC CGL 2021 notification.

You can prepare for one year but eventually recruitment process takes min 2–3 years or more so you can prepare meanwhile.

          SukritiPathak
yes it is enough to crack but due to lengthy process of recruitment it will not be possible anymore to crack in 1 year we should move on with a mind set of this.

Is date important on the photograph uploaded during the form filling for SSC CGL? Is there a chance that the application might be rejected due to this?

            Shalinisharma

            Date On Photograph

No dear the date on the photo uploaded is not important. In the SSC CGL notification, it is generally mentioned that the photograph must not be older than 3 months but they not mention putting a date on the photograph uploaded. Size of the Photograph is mentioned. Category that which photograph would be accepted is mentioned in the notification. I don’t think that would be a problem and would become a reason for the rejection of your application.

As much I know, no candidate has been disqualified during SSC verification to date unless falsified documents are discovered during cross-checking/verification.
If a discrepancy is discovered in any document or required document that has not been submitted or is not in accordance with the prescribed format/guidelines, the competent authority will require you to sign a declaration stating the time limit within which you must submit the requested documents as soon as possible.

DiskhaSharma One of my cousin got rejected because the issue date of all the document uploaded before downloading E-admit card for Stage-II was after the closing date of application. You must be careful about this.

When checking documents, the deviation is almost zero. However, when the department re-checked the documents, some applicants were fired on fake diplomas.

As we all know application has been opened by SSC for CGL 2022 exam. There’s a lot of confusion regarding the format and validity date of the caste and EWS certificates and also about the empowered authority to issue the certificates. Following are the major points that you must know that will clear the doubts-

            • The format for the SC/ST, OBC, EWS and person with disability certificates is in the official notification and that must be followed.

            • Empowered Authorities to issue the certificates are-

            (i) District Magistrate/Additional District Magistrate/Collector/Deputy Commissioner/Additional Deputy Commissioner/Dy.Collector/Ist Class Stipendiary Magistrate/Sub-Divisional Magistrate/Extra-Assistant Commissioner/Taluka Magistrate/Executive Magistrate.

(ii) Chief Presidency Magistrate/Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate/Presidency Magistrate.

(iii) Revenue Officers not below the rank of Tehsildar.

(iv) Sub-Divisional Officers of the area where the candidate and/or his family normally resides.

            • And the date of issue of the certificate to be valid must be before the last date of application i.e. 08/10/2022.

1- What are your thoughts about this change in caste certificate format?

2- Will this make application process hassle-free?
