About
The All India Bar Examination (AIBE) is a national-level exam conducted by the Bar Council of India (BCI) for law graduates who want to practice in a court of law. Both 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB graduates are eligible to appear in the AIBE 2021 exam.
Candidates who qualify in the AIBE exam are:
Issued COP certificates, which allow the candidates to practice law in a court of law.
Without the COP certificate, one can’t practice law in Indian courts.

Eligibility Criteria
The BCI sets the eligibility criteria for the AIBE exam pertaining to age limit, qualifying exam, and bar council registration. Only if the candidate meets all of these conditions will he or she be considered for Certificate of Practice.
- Qualifying exam: The applicant must have passed a 3-year or 5-year LLB degree from a BCI-recognized institute.
- Bar council registration: The applicant must be enrolled with their respective State Bar Council.
- Age limit: There is no upper or lower age limit for appearing in AIBE 2021 exam
- Nationality: Only Indian nationals can apply.
