What is B.A Sociology ?
B.A. (Sociology) or Bachelor of Arts in Sociology is a sociology course for undergraduates. Sociology is a Bachelor of Arts degree programme that studies social connections, social stratification, social interaction, culture, and other topics. The Bachelor of Arts in Sociology degree programme is broadly defined as the study of society.
The study of certain sociology’s specialist subjects, such as Applied Sociology, Comparative Sociology, Cultural Sociology, Collective Behaviour, Crime and Delinquency, Community and Demography, is primarily covered by the Bachelor of Arts degree course in sociology.
The Bachelor of Arts in Sociology programme lasts three years.
B.A Sociology Course Eligibility
In order to be eligible for the BA Sociology course, candidates will have to fulfill the following admission criteria:
The students need to pass their 10+2 examination from a recognized board with a minimum aggregate of 50%.
A 5% relaxation will be given to the SC/ ST/ PwD/ OBC candidates.
The candidates must also have English as one of their main subjects in 10+2. Apart from this. In some cases, you may also have to clear the cut-off of the entrance test to be eligible
