There should not be any confusion between the two. AAO is class 1 cadre and the highest cadre to which recruitment happens in LIC.
ADO is a marketing job. . You have to recruit agents and get business from them. ADO after training will be posted as PDO and after achieving targets he becomes a Development Officer(DO). DO is a confirmed employee but still, he can be terminated if he does not achieve the target.
But if DO performs over and above his targets he gets incentives. There are DO’s who get more incentives than the salary of highest class 1 officers.
