What is NITI Ayog’s internship scheme ?

The redesigned NITI Internship Scheme has been announced by the NITI Aayog. This scheme aims to recruit “interns” among students pursuing Undergraduate, Graduate, or Postgraduate degrees, or Research Scholars enrolled in a recognised university or institution in India or overseas. These “interns” will be exposed to various NITI Aayog Verticals, Divisions, and Units, and will be expected to augment the analytical process inside NITI Aayog through empirical gathering and collation of in-house and other data.

Objectives of the Scheme

1.Allowing fresh academic potential to be involved in the activities of the NITI Aayog for mutual gain.

2.The interns would have the chance to learn about the Government of India’s functioning and developmental policy concerns, as well as participate in policy formation by producing policy inputs such as empirical analyses, briefing documents, policy papers, and so on.
