National Institute of Design (NIDs) are public design schools located across India. NID lies in the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Gov. Of India.
Admission Process: NID Conducts an aptitude test to select some no. of students every year, from lots of applications. There are no set type questions, syllabi, or tricks to know.
They are looking for people with great aptitude(a natural tendency to do something). They are looking for the minds that are ready to be molded to become designers.
The entrance exam is based on Carl Jung’s aptitude tests that are similar to the ones used by the Indian Army to select Officers.
Eligibility for B.des: Can apply if completed 12th in any stream from any recognized board.
Eligibility for M.des: Can apply if completed 4-year bachelor degree in any stream from any recognized university.
