BHU or Banaras Hindu University is always endeavoring towards women’s education. Its visionary founder Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya foresaw the immense significance of women’s education and the critical role women would have to play in the development of the country. The great founder decided to remedy this by opening a college exclusively for women wherein an amalgamation of the vedic ideal and modern scholarship would work towards shaping the Indian women to take on their role as capable citizens. In his convocation address delivered on 14 December, 1929 Mahamana announced the establishment of the Women’s College of the Banaras Hindu University.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
- For M. Sc. in Bioinformatics [For Females only]:
(A) 10+2 with Science
(B) Bachelor’s degree under at least 10+2+3 pattern in Science/Engineering/Technology/ Agriculture/Medicine/Veterinary Science/Pharmaceutics with 50% marks in the aggregate.
- For M.A. (Master of Education) [For Females only]:
Graduate under 10+2+3 pattern with Education (Hons.)/having Education as a subject in any of the three years/ or any graduate under 10+2+3 pattern plus B.Ed./B.Ed. (Spl.) securing a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate at Graduation level.
